Texas Culinary Academy to Present Italian Wine Dinner with Guest Chef Leopoldo Gerbore of Aosta, Italy

Who: Texas Culinary Academy (TCA) will host Wine Dinners with Chef Leopoldo Gerbore Wednesday, May 23 through Friday May 25, 2007.

What: Ventana Restaurant, the student-run restaurant at Texas Culinary Academy, will feature a special prix fixé menu with optional wine pairing for lunch and dinner Wednesday, May 23 and Thursday, May 24 and for lunch Friday, May 25. The cost of the special lunch menu is $18.95 ($29.95 with wine.) The cost of the special dinner menu is $24.95 ($34.95 with wine.) The week will culminate in a special occasion featuring an extraordinary Italian wine and food event featuring a 5 course Italian meal, prepared by our guest chef, with wine pairings. Wine Expert Jane Nickles and Chef Gerbore will present the regional Italian dishes and wines with commentary. This special event will take place Friday, May 25 from 6-9pm ($85 per person, pre-paid reservations required – contact 512-339-3850.)

About Chef Leopoldo Gerbore
Chef Leopoldo Gerbore is an Italian chef / owner of Les Routiers Restaurant in Valle D’Aosta, Italy. He is visiting the Texas Culinary Academy in collaboration with Alba Barolo cooking school and the Italian Culinary Foundation.
